Distractions

The word ‘Distractions’, a small word with a major role in our lives. The routine work in our lives are deviated from it’s originality and purity due to the distractions.

Distractions are of two kinds. Positive distractions are to drive you away from the depression abyss you have fallen into which is eating you away as a person. You are depressed because of your thoughts. And those thoughts attack your mind due to the continuous exposure  to the situations which remind you of the circumstances taking you to the negative thoughts which cause your mind to think false.

The best way to distract yourself is to change your situation by yourself. Either by displacing yourself, change of company, sharing with a good friend (‘Best Friend’ term is ambiguous to me), watch a movie according to your taste. Like while I am writing this blog I am having the negative distraction from the environment in the form of television voices. I have positively distracted myself from that negative distraction by playing a music on my laptop. It worked.

A psychology student can say that ‘Human Brain’ is functioned to do something at the time it is active. In the situations where you are idle. e.g.

  • When you’ve nothing to do
  • No one is to talk, No one is to answer your phone or reply your text.
  • Your mood doesn’t allow you to surf on the internet or it’s off (as is mostly in my case :P).
  • When there is no one to hang out with, means can be the situation that you are homely and don’t find entertaining to go outside and chill out with pals.

All of these situations are very dangerous for human mind. It results in depressions and as a result only some kind of positive distraction can take you away from that discouraging valley of anxiety. And I don’t want to add this word, but you really get distracted to the porn, which can timely work for you but is ultimately highly unhygienic for the mind.

Negative distractions are the other case. Whenever you are at work, a task is assigned to you. And you are thinking about that mishap you did while you had a chit chat with your friend or in current changed youth culture ‘girlfriend’, you will think and think about it, again and again, and will screw the efficiency of your work.

While I’m writing these concluding lines, my dinner is ready and has distracted me successfully from writing the blog :P.

Concluding, in order to be efficient in our work, we must always be positively distracted whenever we are in negative distractions.
